One hallmark of Cal football under coach Justin Wilcox is that the Bears always seem to get the most out of their talent and win a game or two per season that they are not supposed to. They are also prone to the occasional inexplicable clunker. These things happened in succession, as they authored a masterful upset of Minnesota followed by a stunning 34-0 loss to San Diego State. We expect them to bounce back against a Boston College club that has some talent but whose direction can be questioned under the leadership of Bill O'Brien.
