Texas Tech spent a boat load of money in the transfer portal this offseason and it has already shown itself to be true on the field with back-to-back blowouts. Here's the thing, Oregon State is a much better opponent than they've faced already, so it is a chance for them to announce themselves as a serious contender in the Big 12 and nationally.

After dropping two games at home to Cal and Fresno State, the Beavers hit the road for the first time this season to face a red-hot Texas Tech team. The Red Raiders don't take mercy on their opponents; Tech's average margin of victory is 54.0 points. That doesn't bode well for an Oregon State team allowing 35.0 points a game. Lubbock can be unfriendly to road teams. I'm taking the Red Raiders.

I know they've played two weaker opponents, but 129 points scored in two games is crazy good for the Red Raiders. Meanwhile, Oregon State surrendered 34 against Cal and 36 against Fresno State, whose offenses don't compare to Texas Tech's.
