I certainly would prefer +10.5. I don't know squat about either of these teams, to be clear, but the models say this should be NC Central around -4ish. Jeff Sagarin has the Eagles at 4.61 points better. The best player on the field might be Southern defensive end Ckelby Givens (yes, his first name is spelled correctly). The senior led the FCS in tackles for loss (27.5) and was third in sacks (12) last year. I was a bit on the fence here but then saw Emory Hunt, who knows more about FCS football than anyone, take Southern so now we are good to go hopefully.

This is a great matchup of strength vs strength, as the Southern defense led by NFL prospect DE Ckelby Givens, matches up will with the Eagles offense led by talented QB Walker Harris. Southern's defensive backs is also loaded with players who have NFL potential, and in a one-game setting, expect the defense to be ahead of the offense. Which makes for a tighter game.
