Understanding Public and Money

Think of 'Public' as the percentage of people betting on each side and 'Money' as how much money is being bet. When there's a big difference between the 'Public' and 'Money' data, it usually means that the more serious bettors (referred to as 'Sharp Money') are favoring a particular side.

Zack's Analysis:

The Florida International Panthers find themselves as steep favorites considering their overall record of 2-6. Tonight, will mark their fourth straight Tuesday or Wednesday game in Conference USA action. Defensively they hindered Sam Houston last week, and also pushed Liberty in a close loss a few weeks back. Grab the Panthers to break out against an Aggies team that may get off to a slow start post their bye week. Take FIU.

Jimmie's Analysis:

On paper, FIU should win this game comfortably. Fortunately for the Aggies, football isn't played on paper. FIU is having all sorts of issues on the offensive side of the ball, and standout quarterback Keyone Jenkins is battling a shoulder injury. What this comes down to for me is NMSU's rushing attack vs. FIU's rushing defense. The Panthers have had some issues stopping the run, while the Aggies are a run-first offense. It also doesn't hurt that NMSU has had two weeks to prepare for this matchup at Pitbull Stadium. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see FIU win here, but I expect it to be a much closer game than expected.
