Mid-week my initial thoughts were to take the West Virginia Mountaineers. They are coming off a tough loss blowing a ten point lead last week late to the Pittsburgh Panthers. As down as the Jayhawks have played they are to potent to continue miscues offensively. Expect quarterback Jalon Daniels to finally exhibit two halves of solid play, and for the team to pick up their energy on the road. Take the Jayhawks as the slight underdogs.
It's easy to write off Kansas after last week's loss to UNLV, but the result of that game was misleading. The Jayhawks are still more than capable of beating a West Virginia team with a bad defense.
All Kansas has to do is protect the football and they would be undefeated. Jayhawks have a great back in Devin Neal and two great corners in Mello Dotson and Cobee Bryant. Offensively speaking, I can trust them -- despite their turnovers -- more so than WVU. Look for them to get a bounce back victory on the road.
