Understanding Public and Money

Think of 'Public' as the percentage of people betting on each side and 'Money' as how much money is being bet. When there's a big difference between the 'Public' and 'Money' data, it usually means that the more serious bettors (referred to as 'Sharp Money') are favoring a particular side.

Josh's Analysis:

It appears the late-season surge the Gamecocks have been become known for under Shane Beamer won't materialize this year. They were back to their self-destructive ways against Missouri last week, but were still in play to cover until late in the fourth quarter. Texas A&M is coming off two tight losses in which it scored 33 combined points and rarely creates this level of separation against conference opponents. This key number has to be a take on the underdog.

Barrett's Analysis:

The Gamecock defense has given up 30 or more points in each of their last four games, and Texas A&M had a bye week last weekend to fine-tune its offense after Max Johnson took over at quarterback in late-September. The Aggie wide receiving corps is deep, talented and versatile, so expect coach Jimbo Fisher to get all of them involved in a variety of ways in what should be a shootout with Gamecock quarterback Spencer Rattler.
