SMU has lost both road games this year by 17 points. ECU's lone victory was over an FCS school, but it has played a fairly tough slate and fared reasonably well vs. Michigan, for example. The Pirates are 12-2 ATS in their last 14 games as double-digit underdogs and that's really all we are doing here. SMU should certainly win, but ECU can hang within 10 thanks to a good run defense that allows just 3.5 yards per carry. In its last three games, ECU has forced eight turnovers.
