BYU has regressed this year but not as much as Stanford. Coach David Shaw is feeling the heat, and the Cardinal have declined largely from not engaging in the transfer game. They have dropped four straight outright, three by hefty margins. The Cougars will not lack for confidence, having gone 5-0 straight-up versus Pac 12 foes a year ago. In November, they knocked off like Mountain West champ Boise State, enjoyed a bye and cakewalked over Utah Tech. They should be healthy and rested. It could be a quasi-home game for BYU, with its many supporters in the Bay Area.
