The Penn State offense is at its best when it can run the ball, but it's likely to struggle to do so against the Ohio State defense. On the other side of the coin, while no defense can stop Ohio State, Penn State's secondary is better-equipped than most to slow down the Buckeyes passing attack. So while I like the Buckeyes to cover the spread here, I like the Under a lot more.

Penn State was beat up at Michigan two weeks ago, 41-17, after hanging around in the first half. Ohio State has won and covered its last five games while scoring 49 points or more. But the Buckeyes have played only one road game all season and Penn State will be their toughest opponent so far. Penn State has gone 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings and QB Sean Clifford comes off one of his best games against Minnesota, tossing four TD passes. The home crowd will have an impact. The Buckeyes dictate style and tempo, and they'll force Penn State into a shootout. There's a problem -- Penn State isn't built for that. The quarterback situation is unsettled at best, and the Nittany Lions are averaging just 378.3 yards per game against conference foes. The Buckeyes are 4-0-1 against the spread over the last five games, and Penn State hasn't covered in three of its last four.
