It's a must-win game for both if they want to win the Big Ten East, but neither has faced a true test in 2022. Because of that, it's hard to know what to take seriously, and what to ignore. From what I have seen, I have more faith in these defenses than the offenses. Michigan has been too reliant on Blake Corum for big plays, and while Penn State's OL has improved, it hasn't faced a defensive front this good. Plus, of the last eight meetings between these two, only two have finished north of 50 points. These tend to be lower-scoring, close games.

The "Under" is 0-5-1 in Michigan games this year, and the trend is your friend in this one. It is hard to trust Michigan's offense to bust it open, and Penn State will play it safe in a big road game. The defenses will shine in a game that feels more like a 21-17 kind of game.
