Navy has been getting better even if it doesn't show up in its record yet. The Midshipmen got within a touchdown of Houston, SMU and Cincinnati. Now they face a Tulsa squad that has won three of its last four. However, the Golden Hurricane won those games by an average of less than 5 points per game. I like Navy to cover and will not be surprised if they win outright.

Tulsa got a 19-6 win at Navy last season and covered the -12.5. But I’m taking the points here with Navy because I think the Midshipmen can sustain long, clock-chewing drives with QB Tai Lavatai. He’s getting more comfortable each week, and the team has played better and gained confidence since he took over. They have recent good losses of eight points or fewer to SMU, Houston, and Cincinnati and a win against UCF. I took the points with Navy.
