This is always going to be a very tough, physical and passionate game. The teams are normally a lot closer than this spread. The reason why I like Army is its defense. When Navy is good, its defense is usually one of the top 30 in college football. That hasn't been the case this year, and Army is excellent on both sides of the ball.

This series generates the lowest scores of any in the country. Both teams adhere to the ground, which shortens the game. And the coaches lean conservative because of the ultra-high stakes. So why go Over? Among Navy’s nine games, one produced 88 points, another 60 and four more in the 50s. The last three Army outings have broken the 50-point barrier. In this era of inflated scoring, the 37.5 is too alluring to pass up. The temperature will be milder than usual, with light rain possible, so the offenses should not be constrained by weather.
