While it has been a tough year for the Hokies, they haven't quit on coach Justin Fuente; they are playing hard for him every game. Unfortunately, this is just a matchup of a great team against a decent team. And for me, that great team, Clemson, won't have a problem covering this spread against the Hokies, no matter the QB. Lay the points with the Tigers.

Clemson is now on a mission, and last weekend vs. Pitt showed it. Everybody focused on Trevor Lawrence’s return, but the play of the secondary and the defensive stars that it got back up front are far more important. I find it difficult to create a scenario how Virginia Tech comes close to keeping up.
