The team's leading receiver has transferred. There are fans who are calling for Mark Richt's head a year after the team went to the Orange Bowl. Temps in New York are expected to be in the upper-30s. How badly do you think Miami wants to win this game? The motivation here is iffy at best.

PINSTRIPE BOWL -- This is a rematch of last year's Orange Bowl. Miami still has a very good defense and Wisconsin still has the great offensive line and running game. The difference here is the play at QB. The Badgers will be without Alex Hornibrook due to concussion symptoms. And we still don't know if N'Kosi Perry will get the nod for the Hurricanes or be suspended. Run game and defense travel really well; back the Badgers.

PINSTRIPE BOWL -- A bowl is most difficult to decipher when it pits teams crushed by disappointing seasons. With these underachievers, as with most others, siding with the underdog is preferable. Few RBs can find holes in Miami’s standout defensive line, but Jonathan Taylor is one of them. It helps that Hurricanes DT Gerald Willis has chosen NFL draft preparation over playing in this game. The Canes have fallen straight-up in seven of eight bowls, and the likely wintry weather puts another checkmark in the column of the team from cold climes.
