Howard adds a bit of mystery to a recommendation because the Bison have lost three times in league play. Yet the e Bison have rolled thru the MEAC the way Bill Walton's UCLA destroyed the old Pac-8 in his soph season, with a win margin of nearly 24 pg (!!!) in the conference victories. Included in that path of destruction was an 84-58 romp past the outmanned Hornets on January 12. After absorbing obligatory MEAC wallopings in non-league play, DSU has continued to lose, and with the nation's most-impotent offense (61 ppg ranks 361st), though one minor caution is that efforts have generally been better in Dover, where loss margins have been reduced.
