Not sure what was wrong with Loyola earlier this season, but the Ramblers look back on course in recent weeks. Drew Valentine, who has 23 or more wins in three of the past four seasons with the Ramblers, didn't forget how to coach overnight, and perhaps it was 6-8 Wisconsin transfer PF Xavier Amos (11.4 ppg) activated in mid-December that triggered the uptick. Along with 6-10 Miles Rubin, Loyola now has real presence in the paint, and G Justin Moore (17 ppg last four) has taken advantage in the recent uptick that includes wins over Santa Clara and Rhode Island and a near-miss vs. Dayton.
