The Gaels have been more efficient from the perimeter, an area that Vanderbilt struggles to defend, allowing their opponents to shoot over 32%. The Commodores are solid from the free throw line but Saint Mary’s is one of the best free throw shooting teams in the country. The Gaels been to protect the ball as Vanderbilt will want to create turnovers and get out in transition.
