Seton Hall is off the upset to the Wolfpack yesterday. Ever since that crazy overtime game against Troy, the Trojans shot selection hasn’t been the best. Seton Hall makes things very difficult for teams inside the arc, currently 4th in the country. This is a defense that can rattle a USC team that leans heavily on the three and even though the Pirates are trending towards the bottom of the country in defending that area, this is just a gritty team on defense. Seton Hall exploded offensively and may not have the size to matchup but their defense should see them in this one.

For Monday, one of the bigger eye-openers to open Tourney Week was Seton Hall's comfy win over NC State in Maui. Mind, the Pirates were the second lowest-scoring team in the country last season, but you wouldn't have known that from Monday in Maui when the Hall hit 52% from the floor and featured six double-digits scorers led by Samford/Miami-Fla transfer G AJ Staton-McCray's 22 points. The usual hardscrabble Pirates defense as preached by Shaheen Holloway might knock SC';s shooters off of their pins, as the Trojans continue to fly very close to the flame, needing 3 OTs to subdue Troy last Thursday and surviving a last-second win over Boise State on Monday.
