This is hardly a long road trip for SC, but past air miles seem to have tired out the Trojans, whose fortunes have sagged in recent weeks. Blame the defense, where the wearing down has become hard to camouflage. The last three games have been especially leaky, allowing 90 pg in the losses to Maryland, Rutgers, and Ohio State. SC can still score points with soph G Wesley Yates III on a recent heater (24 pg the past three), which has helped more Trojan overs that are now on a 16-3 run into today. Meanwhile, Dana Altman's Webfoots are putting together their annual late-season surge, with the offense scoring nearly 80 pg in the current four-game win streak. Play USC-Oregon Over

The Trojans have been engaging in some high-scoring affairs recently as the defense has been extremely vulnerable while offensively USC has remained productive in part because of the late-season emergence of freshman guard Wesley Yates (22.3 points per game across the last four games). The over is 12-3 when USC is an underdog, and 8-1-1 when the Trojans are on the road. Combine that with an Oregon team that's riding a four-game winning streak and has had a week to get rested and healthy, and there's another over in the works on Saturday in Eugene.
