They're the Rodney Dangerfields of the SEC...Arkansas seems to be getting no respect from the oddsmakers! John Calipari has won on five of eight against the teeth of the SEC slate while also covering all eight in a row (at least for those who got +8.5 at Texas A&M two weeks ago). As we've noted before, the turnaround ironically began when flashy frosh G Boogie Fland went down with a injury, as FAU transfer G Johnell Davis suddenly began to contribute (double-digit scoring in eight of nice) and DJ Wagner making a seamless move to PG after Fland's injury. Before thinking this might be a banana peel for Arkansas, note at South Carolina is only 1-14 in SEC play. Play Arkansas
The Razorbacks have covered seven of eight after prevailing in overtime against Texas on Tuesday. The Gamecocks just lost by 30 at Mizzou and are 1-14 in SEC play. But at home, South Carolina has been extremely tough. The Gamecocks are 4-0-1 ATS in their last five in Columbia, most recently handling the Longhorns by 15. South Carolina lost by three to Auburn, by one to Florida, in OT to Mississippi State and by four to Ole Miss. Arkansas leading scorer Adou Thiero (15.6 ppg) remains out with a hyperextended knee. Look for a game that goes down to the wire and take the points.
