The NEC Tournament gets underway for No. 2 seed Wagner, which hosts No. 7 St. Francis (Pa.). The Seahawks are looking to beat the Red Flash for the third time this season. Both games were fairly competitive, Wagner winning by eight on the road and 15 at home. Wagner was dominant for most of the season, at one point winning 14 straight, but lost 6-5 senior guard Elijah Ford (11.8 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 1.8 spg, 55 percent shooting from the field) to a season-ending knee injury Feb. 5. Since then, the Seahawks have gone 3-3 SU and 2-4 ATS while falling short of oddsmakers' expectations by a combined 45 points. St. Francis is a solid offensive club (69.1 ppg) that should score enough to cover.
