Today's picks: Why Michigan will cover vs. Florida State, two NASCAR plays on the dirt and NBA injuries to know

Jonathan Coachman is joined by sports betting expert Mike McClure on the Early Edge podcast, powered by SportsLine. The guys dish out their prime picks for Sweet 16 action in college basketball as well as the Food City Dirt Race in NASCAR on Sunday, March 28. 

Mike first breaks down the injuries you need to know heading into today's NBA slate, starting with Damian Lillard's status for the Trail Blazers' matchup with the Raptors before touching on the Nuggets' newest additions to the lineup and finishing with the banged-up Magic's key players to note.

The Coach then reveals how listeners can win the Perfect Parlay of the Day contest before jumping into the slate with the SportsLine Picks of the Day, laying the points with Gonzaga (-13.5) and Alabama (-6.5). The Maestro co-signs on both picks.

McClure then turns to the Florida State-Michigan game, disagreeing with the market movement toward the underdog, putting his trust in his model and laying the two points with Michigan. "I love this spot for Michigan," McClure says. "All we hear about is Florida State and how good they are, and how Michigan can't win without Isaiah Livers. But what does Michigan keep doing? They keep winning. And the reason they keep winning is that they're one of the best defensive teams in the country ... I make this game (Michigan) -4.7 in my simulations." McClure thinks the Oregon side of the Pac-12 Sweet 16 matchup is inflated and is laying the points with USC as well.

The guys then turn toward NASCAR and the dirt track, with McClure taking Christopher Bell +160 against Kyle Larson in a matchup of two guys who are very familiar racing on dirt. McClure is also taking a guy you've never heard of: Mike Marlar. "This is what he does for a living," McClure says. "He races on short tracks, he races on dirt. This is his Super Bowl." McClure loves Marlar +140 against Kurt Busch.
