Illinois State big man Sy Chatman (13.5 points, 6.1 rpg) tore his ACL late in the game at Evansville, leaving the Redbirds short-handed versus a Drake team coming off a scintillating comeback win. The Bulldogs trailed Northern Iowa by 10 with three minutes left only to win in overtime. Despite it being a "down year" for Drake, the Bulldogs now sit one game back of the MVC lead. Drake won the home meeting with Illinois State 86-75, and that was despite Chatman's 14 points on 4-of-6 shooting.
