Rush Street Interactive expresses interest in Maine online casinos
With legislation enabling legal iGaming in Maine, Rush Street Interactive is one of the first brands to acknowledge its interest in the emergent market.
While the launch of legal online casinos in Maine is still undetermined, Rush Street Interactive is not waiting for regulators to drop more details. Rush Street among early movers in Maine
Maine residents can't say yet for sure which real money online casino apps could be available in the near future, but a Rush Street Interactive (RSI) could be among them. RSI operates the BetRivers and PlaySugarHouse iGaming brands in other states.
Speaking at the ICR Conference on Monday, RSI President Kyle Sauers confirmed that RSI is interested in gaining access for one of those brands in Maine.
"That's a market that would fit really, really well for us, and one where we could see a lot of success potentially partnering with a tribe," Sauer commented.
The map for RSI's iGaming products currently includes Delaware, Michigan, New Jersey, Ontario, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. To date, RSI is the only operator to comment in an affirmative way on potentially bringing its casino bonus codes to Maine.

Potential room for RSI among Maine online casino apps
Maine law allows tribal gaming authorities within the state's borders to partner with an online casino operator to offer casino games online on their behalf. The tribal bodies can also utilize their own platforms if they choose.
Online sports betting in Maine works in a similar fashion. Tribal agreements have made Caesars' and DraftKings' sports betting apps available to bettors in Maine.
While that would seem to give Caesars and DraftKings inside track for iGaming, Mainers should not consider it to be a foregone conclusion. A total of four federally recognized tribes exist within Maine's borders, meaning that each of them could choose a different operational partner. There is still a lot of work to be done before Mainers can legally play online casino games without leaving their state. Companies like RSI partnering with tribes is an important part of the process.
