November continued a strong year for legal iGaming in Michigan, with the state collecting nearly $49 million in taxes from online casino winnings for the month. With November's returns in the books, gross winnings for the state's numerous licensees for 2025 could hit $3 billion for the first time in state history.

Michigan online casinos post record November

Michigan online casino revenue for legal apps during November 2025 represented the best such month since regulated iGaming began in Michigan. According to a release from the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB), gross winnings totaled $248.4 million for November.

Michigan law currently allows licensees to deduct a portion of the promotional play they give to bettors through casino bonus codes from their tax liabilities. For that reason, the month's taxable winnings amounted to $233.3 million.

That translated to $48.5 million in revenue for the state and $13 million for the City of Detroit. All of those figures represent highs for November of any year.

For example, taxable revenue for November 2025 was a 14.7% increase from the previous year, which had been the November record. If the current pace of growth continues, Michigan iGaming winnings could hit an astounding and unprecedented total for 2025.

Annual total of $3 billion within reach for 2025

Through the first 11 months of 2025, gross iGaming winnings from Michigan's online casino sites for real money have totaled nearly $2.8 billion for the year. The rate of growth over 2024's previous annual record to date in 2025 is over 20.8%.

If December's iGaming returns maintain a similar pace compared to December 2024's $244 million in gross winnings, that would push 2025's performance over the $3 billion mark for the year. Not only would that be a new annual record but would represent the first $3 billion year for Michigan as well.

Another notable and probable threshold for 2025 is more than $150 million in taxes for Detroit. The running total on that figure through November is $138.8 million.

People taking advantage of the Caesars Palace Online Casino promo code and other welcome offers available in Michigan during the holiday season could work toward that accomplishment.

With a month remaining, legal iGaming in Michigan could produce over $700 million in tax revenues for municipalities and the state in 2025. That statistic should help to keep online casinos a fixture of gaming in Michigan.
