MGM, Playtech bring Vegas experience to players worldwide
MGM Resorts and Playtech announced the creation of a new live dealer broadcast studio in late 2024. The studio started broadcasting games from the location inside the MGM Grand in Las Vegas in May 2025.
The initial game offerings included traditional casino games like baccarat, blackjack, craps, and roulette. The studio also features numerous Family Feud- and The Price is Right-branded titles.
Broadcasting games live from Vegas represents an expansion of the relationship between MGM Resorts and Playtech. In 2024, Playtech began offering games in which people playing at top online casinos in various European markets could place wagers on tables at the Bellagio and MGM Grand via a dual-cast service in 2024.
Doubts remain about whether these Live Dealer Studio at MGM Grand games will ever be available to domestic players on the BetMGM Casino app. The current legal frameworks in multiple states prevent that expansion.

US players unlikely to gain access to Live Dealer Studio games soon
Online casinos like Fanatics Casino offer access to live dealer games in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. All of those states require that the broadcast studios exist within their borders, though.
Put another way, Michiganders can only play legally play live dealer games with a licensed online casino if those games are being broadcast from somewhere in Michigan. The same goes for players in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.

Although MGM Resorts also operates the MGM Grand in Detroit, BetMGM's live dealer games for Michigan players are not broadcast from that casino. BetMGM offers Evolution titles from Evolution's studios in Michigan.
