DraftKings plans to launch 'Super App' that combines online casino with other products
Officials with DraftKings laid out plans to integrate its sports betting, daily fantasy sports and newly launched predictions market offering with the DraftKings Casino app in the near future.
Over the years, DraftKings has simplified users' lives by consolidating all of its products into a shared wallet, allowing customers to easily access their DraftKings Casino, sports betting and daily fantasy sports accounts. Now, the company is going a step further, announcing that it intends to launch a "Super App" branded as DraftKings Sports & Casino.
DraftKings expects ample growth in near future
Ahead of its investor day, DraftKings outlined an expanded growth strategy and long-term financial framework for the future, noting that the company could generate upward of $80 billion in industry gross revenue by 2030.
In addition, DraftKings said it would increase the use of AI across its platforms to "drive efficiency and operating leverage."
All of this growth, the company emphasized, reflects continued state legalization of sportsbooks and real money online casino apps. This year has already seen the legalization of Maine online casinos, with promising movement also occurring in other jurisdictions, notably in Virginia. DraftKings' projected growth is also based on the expansion of the recently launched DraftKings Predictions app, which the company called a key driver for its future.
What to expect with DraftKings Sportsbook & Casino Super App
Buried in the DraftKings outline was its plan to go live with a new "Super App" that will be known as DraftKings Sports & Casino. The new platform will combine the DraftKings Casino bonus app with the operator's sportsbook, predictions app and lottery platform into a seamless, integrated account and wallet.
Per the announcement, the first phase of the integration is expected to take place around the college basketball tournament, with more upgrades planned throughout the year.
Essentially, once the tournament begins, users may expect to see a rebranded DraftKings Casino platform that offers easily accessible avenues to DraftKings' sports betting, predictions and online lottery offerings.
