We're backing up what we believe is a strong play on Old Dominion ATS with a sprinkle on the ML at that would pay more than a standard two-team parlay. The Falcons appear destined for a letdown spot following two close calls against top-25 competition.

In Week 1, the Monarchs came within a couple plays of upsetting South Carolina as a three-touchdown underdog. That performance has aged well as the Gamecocks are now 3-1 and just a play or two away from their own 4-0 start. Old Dominion has had two weeks to prepare for a Bowling Green team that is coming off two near-misses against power-conference opponents. The Falcons came up just short against Penn State and Texas A&M in back-to-back games and this is a precarious spot against an OId Dominion club desperate to avoid an 0-4 start. It’s also a tough matchup for Bowling Green’s weak run defense (171 ypg) against a Monarchs run game that compiled 243 yards in its loss to Virginia Tech.

My numbers have this total being a field goal too high. Plenty of people noticed Bowling Green put up points against Penn State, but not nearly enough have noticed how good this defense is.
