Understanding Public and Money
Just a small play as we restart MLB. Can't really help myself on many of these Friday Cubs matinees. I like to think of me as the Ferris Bueller of cappers as opposed to Abe Froman, the Sausage King of Chicago -- how has there no been an Abe Froman spin-off? Even if just a guest spot on "The Bear." I do not like Chicago starting pitcher Colin Rea much, but I sure like the Cubs' lineup a lot better than Boston's. Especially today when they have their ideal lineup in -- although we need to upgrade at third base over Matt Shaw. The Sox have won 10 straight, so it seems like the break really came at a bad time in a way.
Maybe the Bosox didn't want the All-Star break, as they roared thru last Sunday when the win streak reached ten after sweeping four from the Rays. That was then, however, and this is now, and danger seems to lurk for this weekend set at Wrigley Field, even as starter Lucas Giolito has strung together three straight superb efforts with an 0.43 ERA. Doubtful, however, he gets a combined 36 runs of support like those last three outings, more so since Cubs counterpart Colin Rea is on his own nice uptick, also winning his last three starts with a 1.93 ERA.
