Best bets for Sunday Night Football at DraftKings
Both teams have been scuffling, with both dealing with injuries and odd coaching decisions. The Eagles had already been having trouble on offense when Hurts was lost for the season because of blood clots, while Washington QB Jayden Daniels missed three games (all losses) with an elbow injury. The Commanders had a chance to beat the Giants in overtime in Week 6 but botched the clock management and settled for a 27-27 tie. Then Daniels threw for 300 yards last week against the 49ers but the Commanders struggled to convert third downs in a 23-17 loss. Washington beat the Super Bowl champion Seahawks 33-31 in Week 3 for its lone win. It will be without star receiver Terry McLaurin, who is out for the year.
The Eagles got star running back Saquon Barkley back from injury for Monday Night Football against the Cowboys, but Dallas routed its rivals 38-21. Receivers DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks also have been banged up and are listed as questionable for Sunday, along with Barkley. The Eagles also have had major issues on the offensive line, with Lane Johnson retiring, Cam Jurgens getting traded and Landon Dickerson on IR. Tanner McKee has 426 passing yards, with two TD passes and one interception in his two starts.
Philadelphia won the first meeting between the teams this season, taking a 24-22 home victory in Week 1, and have won nine of the past 12. The Eagles are 1-6 against the spread this season and 0-5 ATS against NFC teams. They are 4-3 to the Over, while four of the Commanders' six games have gone Over. Washington is 3-3 ATS this season, including 1-2 ATS in division games. The SportsLine Projection Model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, has Washington winning in 67% of its simulations and covering the spread at a 54% rate. Over 40 hits 54% of the time.
