That New Jersey is struggling to score is no surprise considering that the offense began to bog down when top scorer Jack Hughes went out with injury; the Devils would eventually rank 30th in five-on-five scoring. It's now seven losses in a row as a visitor for Carolina after losing Game 3 in OT at the Rock 3-2 Friday. The Canes needed a pair of power-play goals well into the 3rd period just to force the OT before Simon Nemec beat Frederik Andersen 2:36 into the second OT to get the Devils into this series.
