The Kraken played yesterday, and the Lightning haven't played in two weeks, usually an NHL scenario to favor the Seattle side. But the Lightning were flying into the 4 Nations break with wins in four straight while scoring 20 goals in the process. Even without top scorer Nikita Kucherov (status ? for today), Tampa Bay put five past the Canadiens in their last outing two weeks ago. (Note that numerous Lightning were also active in the 4 Nations.) It was a nice win for the Kraken on Saturday at Florida but the season has been full of inconsistencies for Seattle, which has leaked more goals than all but two Western Conference sides (lowly Chicago and San Jose).
