The Avs have been on a tear on the offensive end, while the Senators have scored three or more goals in three straight. Fatigue could be a minor issue for the Avs after they lost to a hard fought game to Montreal last night. That said, I still like this game total to reach at least seven goals. I've seen the total at 7 as well (for a much better price), but I like this play at 6.5 much better.

The Avs will be without Val Nichushkin for the foreseeable future, which is a massive blow. On top of that, they are in the second night of a road back-to-back. Still, I like the Avs to get a win in this spot. The Colorado first line is still as good as you'll find anywhere in the league, and the trio of Nathan MacKinnon, Cale Makar, and Mikko Rantanen are capable of carrying the Avs on their back here. The over looks to be in a good spot here tonight in Ottawa. Senators home games over the last month are averaging 8.1 goals/game, and Colorado road games in the same span are averaging 7.0. Then we see how past games between these two have fared, and it's all but determined what direction we need to go in. Five straight have hit this number, with four of those meetings going for 9+ goals.
