Tom Brady unretires: Buccaneers back among Super Bowl 57 odds favorites

Tom Brady will indeed play this season for the Tampa Bay Bucs.

Quite the timing from Tom Brady as he revealed on social media – you know, during the NCAA Tournament bracket reveal – that he has decided to play the 2022 NFL season for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Frankly, not a huge shock as he had been dropping hints about unretiring. Caesars Sportsbook even kept NFL MVP odds up on him: +4500. That number is now +1500. The Bucs had been +2000 to win Super Bowl 57 and +1000 to win the NFC title. They are now +750 and +350 (co-favorites with Green Bay), respectively.

Brady posted this on Twitter: "These past two months I've realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it's not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. They make it all possible. I'm coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. Unfinished business LFG"

Presumably, this also means that free agent tight end and fellow future Hall of Famer Rob Gronkowski will re-sign with the Bucs. Probably a lot of Bucs free agents will come back to play one last season with TB12.

Tampa Bay coach Bruce Arians, on Brady coming out of retirement: "Total excitement."
