Thanksgiving NFL odds, props: Bears' David Montgomery, Saints' Alvin Kamara favored for most rushing yards on holiday, but Kamara might not play vs. Bills

Caesars Sportsbook has released a few "most" Thanksgiving props.

There are many great things about the three NFL games each Thanksgiving, but one from a betting perspective is that the various books release "most" props. On the most rushing yards among all players Thursday, Chicago's David Montgomery and New Orleans' Alvin Kamara are the +350 co-favorites at Caesars Sportsbook … but be aware that Kamara might not play against Buffalo in the nightcap.

Both Kamara (knee) and fellow tailback Mark Ingram (knee) were held out of practice Tuesday, the Saints' final practice before Thursday's game. Kamara has missed the past two, and he probably won't be asked to do much running Thursday even if he does play because of Ingram, who is expected to go and is +400 on this prop. Recently brought back to New Orleans via trade, Ingram comes off an 88-yard rushing effort in Sunday's loss to the Eagles. Buffalo ranks No. 9 against the rush, allowing 101.9 ypg. The Saints prefer to use Kamara more as a pass-catcher.

Montgomery's Bears face the Lions in the first matchup Thursday in what reportedly could be Matt Nagy's final game as Chicago coach. Backup Andy Dalton will start under center with Justin Fields injured but that shouldn't affect the gameplan much (maybe a little less conservative with Dalton). When the Bears beat the Lions 24-14 in Week 4, Montgomery rushed for 106 yards – Fields was the QB then.

Lions running back D'Andre Swift is +450 to lead all players in rushing and rushed for a career-high 136 yards in Sunday's loss at Cleveland. In the first meeting with Chicago, Swift got just eight carries for 16 yards. The Bears have struggled against the rush this season, allowing 122.8 ypg.

Dallas running back Ezekiel Elliott is +425 on this prop for the mid-afternoon game vs. the Raiders, with Las Vegas' Josh Jacobs at +550. Elliott hasn't topped 51 yards rushing in four straight games and shares carries with Tony Pollard (+600). Jacobs has rushed for more than 53 yards once this year.

Could Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen lead all rushers Thursday? He's +1200. Allen's season high is 59 yards on 11 carries on Oct. 10 in Kansas City and he has three games with at least 50 yards rushing on the year. However, Allen has carried only a combined four times for 21 yards the past two games. Both were blowouts, which likely contributed to his lack of running.

Caesars Sportsbook favorites to rush for most yards on Thanksgiving

    • David Montgomery +350
    • Alvin Kamara +350
    • Mark Ingram +400
    • Ezekiel Elliott +425
    • D'Andre Swift +450
    • Josh Jacobs +550
    • Tony Pollard +600
    • Josh Allen +1200
