It's an NFC West showdown on Thursday night this week as the unbeaten 49ers visit Arizona.

It's the only scheduled national television appearance for Kyler Murray, this year's No. 1 overall draft pick, and the Arizona Cardinals for the 2019 season on Thursday night as they welcome the unbeaten San Francisco 49ers in the first of two meetings in two weeks between the NFC West rivals. Kickoff Thursday is 8:20 p.m. ET from State Farm Stadium. San Francisco is a 9.5-point favorite on the NFL odds with an over-under total of 42.5. The spread is on the move as the Niners opened as low at -7 at some sportsbooks.

The 49ers remain the NFC's only unbeaten team and they are 7-0 for the first time since 1990. While their passing offense leaves a lot to be desired with Jimmy Garoppolo, the defense has been spectacular. San Francisco is second in the NFL in scoring defense at 11.0 points per game and No. 1 in yards allowed at 224.4.

One big reason for that defensive improvement has been pass-rushing end Nick Bosa, and it's quite possible both eventual Rookie of the Year winners will be on the field Thursday in Bosa and Murray. Bosa is the +125 favorite for Defensive ROY honors and he was spectacular Sunday with three sacks and an interception in a blowout win over Carolina. Bosa's seven sacks in his first seven career games is No. 2 all-time – the league only started keeping individual sacks in 1982. Bosa's brother Joey won Defensive Rookie of the Year with the Chargers in 2016.

Murray is the +150 Offensive Rookie of the Year favorite on the NFL futures odds at DraftKings, although Oakland running back Josh Jacobs is right on his tail at +175. Murray has thrown for 1,988 yards and seven touchdowns while rushing for 279 yards and two scores. Arizona's three victories already match last year's total.

One winning streak will have to end Thursday. The Niners are on a seven-game run to start this season, winning by an average of nearly 19 points per. However, Arizona has won the past eight in this series by an average margin of nearly 11 points per. The road team is 5-1 ATS in the past six meetings.
