Last week in this space, our 6-point teaser recommendations for Week 5 of the 2026 NFL season went 3-1. The lone defeat came at the hands of the Saints (+8) in their 23-13 to the Minnesota Vikings. New Orleans saw a 13-13 tie heading into the fourth quarter dissolve into a 10-0 Vikings run to end the game as its offense succumbed to the menacing Minnesota defense.
Even so, we hit on our other suggestions as the Dolphins (+12.5) covered in their 31-24 loss to the Bengals, the Browns (+8.5) covered in their 17-12 loss to the Jets and the Packers (+7.5) cruised to a 31-7 blowout of the Bears.
Although we have spoken of the dangers in using the 6-point teaser to adjust favorites, we're leaning into a couple of such spots this week in which we find value with reducing the number on favored teams laying a touchdown or so on the posted spread into pick 'em territory.
