As the Bears haven't lost across the past two Augusts, and the Chiefs haven't won, why is Chicago the underdog tonight? One though is that Andy Reid has said the KC starters (including Patrick Mahomes) will feature...but for how long? There is also the matter of a short-week turnaround for Chicago, in action on Sunday night vs. the Bills. The edge for the Bears likely comes after the starters have left the field, as Tyson Bagent has emerged as a very serviceable backup QB, and has passed for almost 300 yards this preseason. Along with ex-WKU Austin Reed, it's QB depth where the Bears have the edge, especially if Reid bypasses entrenched backup Gardner Minshew for Chris Oladokun and/or Bailey Zappe. Play Bears.
