The Seattle Mariners picked the worst possible time to start struggling, as they are on a four-game losing streak and now outside of the American League Wild Card field looking in. The M's host the Houston Astros in another huge game Tuesday night, and the two most wagered MLB player props on the entire DraftKings board are on starting pitchers Cristian Javier and George Kirby at T-Mobile Park with the M's as -150 favorites.

With Monday's 5-1 home loss, the Mariners (84-72) fell to four games behind the Rangers (88-68) for first place in the AL West and are now 1.5 games behind second-place Houston (86-71), which holds the third and final AL Wild Card spot. Seattle does currently hold a tiebreaker vs. Houston (8-3), loses one vs. Texas (1-8) and has one vs. Toronto (3-3, tiebreaker based on intradivision record), which is three games up on the Mariners and holds the No. 2 wild card spot.

Overall, Seattle has now dropped 11 of its past 16 games, with three of its wins in that stretch over awful Oakland. The M's are now -200 to miss the playoffs at DK and +170 to make it. Houston had lost five of six to fall out of first in the AL West before Monday's 5-1 victory. The Astros are -250 to make the playoffs and +200 to miss.

The No. 1 prop Tuesday is Javier Over 14.5 outs recorded (-160). Javier (9-4, 4.64 ERA) almost never goes six full innings but has topped 14.5 outs in three of his past four. The Houston bullpen is very fresh behind Javier if needed because Justin Verlander went eight innings on Monday. Javier does have much worse overall numbers on the road (5.40 ERA). His lone 2023 start vs. the Mariners was on May 5 in Seattle and he went seven strong.

The No. 2 prop is Kirby Over 17.5 outs (-125). Kirby (11-10, 3.58 ERA) is a future AL Cy Young contender and has thrown at least six full innings in three straight. His lone start this year against the Astros was on July 6 in Houston, and he went 6.2 innings in a victory.

Tonight's other popular MLB player props at DraftKings:

Blue Jays' Kevin Gausman Over 7.5 strikeouts (-120) vs. Yankees: Gausman is third in the majors and first in the AL with 232 strikeouts and whiffed 10 Yankees just last Wednesday.

Reds' Hunter Greene Over 6.5 strikeouts (+105) at Guardians: Greene has games of 14, 6 and 9 strikeouts in three starts since returning from the injured list.

Yankees' Michael King Over 5.5 strikeouts (-150) at Blue Jays: The converted reliever struck out a career-high 13 last Wednesday vs. Toronto.
