Ten days ago, his appearance consisted of 50 pitches - and before he was recalled to the majors, he was being used exclusively as a starter in the minor leagues. Assessing all of this with the tired Guardians bullpen, the assumption is likely that Allen can go for 60-70 pitches today. The Tigers have really struggled against lefties, with a .628 OPS since the All Star Break.
