The season effectively ended a few weeks ago for the Rays, after moving into a contending position for an AL wild card. All has gone pear-shaped since, as a 5-12 mark since September 5 has eliminated them for postseason consideration. The offense has been sporadic, never more so than last night when Tampa Bay got one-hit by Dean Kremer and the O's bullpen in a 6-0 loss. Meanwhile, Wednesday starter Shane Baz remains erratic, as Tampa Bay hasn't won in his consecutive starts since the end of May. As for the Birds, Tyler Wells has shown well since being activated in early September, with a 2.04 ERA, and Baltimore winning all three of his starts. Play Orioles on the Run Line.

We're going back to Junior Caminero again because we like his matchup against Tyler Wells even better today. Wells has only made three starts this season and has been good against right-handed hitters, but it's such a small sample size that we aren't reading into it too much. Historically, Wells has been worse against righties than lefties and carries a somewhat high 1.6 HR/9 rate allowed in his career. He's allowed just 4 runs in three starts this season, but 3 of those were home runs. We set the line at +205 for Caminero to homer.
