Milwaukee's Freddy Peralta has barely been a five-inning pitcher of late so I don't expect this to cash if it's tied after five unless Peralta's pitch count is super low. He is 8-1 with a 1.72 ERA at home. L.A. is without one of its top hitters in shortstop Zach Neto; he leads the Halos in WAR at 5.0.

If their stuff is good, rookie pitchers sometimes can keep foes off-balance just because of the familiarity (or lack thereof) factor. Yet when the rookie struggles from the outset, that's all out the window, and nothing is suggesting that the Halos' rookie Caden Dana (6.32 ERA in four appearances this season) is fooling MLB hitters. The Angels are also collapsing like an imploded hotel, now a season-worst 12 games below .500 and at the bottom of the AL West after getting swept four in Seattle. Meanwhile the Brewers are playoff-bound but motivated to keep winning to stay ahead of the Phils for NL best record, and Freddy Peralta had a 30-inning scoreless streak before losing last Wednesday at Texas.
