The Rangers have hit their stride as they've won five games in a row, with four of those five games getting over the total. The Ranger bats have come alive, hitting .293 the last two weeks, and that's without Corey Seager, who's on the 10-day IL. They were the best under team in baseball, hitting over 60% but over the last month, they've dipped to 55.2% to the under. They're playing playoff-style baseball, which is exactly what the Diamondbacks are also doing, winning four of their last five at Milwaukee and at Los Angeles. It's now official...look out for the Rangers! Wins in five straight and eight of nine have put them back into the AL wild card mix after their sweep of the A's in Sacramento on the weekend. As for Monday starter Patrick Corbin, he's off of his best start of the season, allowing three hits, walking only one and striking out eight while shutting out the Angels thru 8 innings last Tuesday. Granted, some better form lately, too, for the D-backs, though Monday starter Ryne Nelson has if off of a very so-so August in which he posted a 4.60 ERA< and Arizona has lost four of his last six starts.
