That was a real and unexpected 9th inning meltdown by the Padres bullpen that cost them in a 9-5 loss to the Halos last night, but not expecting lightning to strike as it has the past two days when both the Rockies and Angels scored nine runs against SD pitching. Dylan Cease, performing well for the Padres in his last two starts (2.53 ERA), should do his part on Tuesday before giving the relievers another chance. Meanwhile, Jose Soriano has been wildly erratic in the Halos rotation, and the Angels have lost in his last five starts. Remember, San Diego is still 14-5 at Petco Park this season.
