Big number, yes, but I don't believe the Tigers should be dogs so that's the reasoning -- if you can get +1, all the better. MLB doesn't have a Most Improved Player Award, but if it did my AL preseason pick would have been Detroit starter and former No. 1 overall pick Casey Mize as he's finally healthy -- and showing it at 2-1 with a 2.60 ERA. A few Royals do have really good splits off Mize led by Salvy Perez, but I just think this is a different pitcher now. Los Tigres are 7-1 at home.
