Rays are scuffling again and I love the way Seth Lugo is pitching. The Rays having to go with an opener here could he highly problematic as their pen is not nearly what it has been in years past and I'm not sure who is gonna end up sopping up a bunch of innings. Royals are 7-3 when Lugo starts and all those wins are by 2 runs or more

We continue to back Seth Lugo, who continues to shove. Rays lineup slumping again and now Josh Lowe is hurt again. Lugo had been dominant seeing teams for the first time. Lugo is 5th in MLB with a 1.44 ERA thru the 1st 5 inn (8 ER in 10 GS) and 15th with a 0.94 WHIP. Rays going with an opener and their relievers have already thrown the 2nd most IP in AL and have just the 12th-best ERA in AL (4.36). Royals are hot
