The Athletics have now lost nine straight games and they are a pitiful 6-24 against teams above .500 this season. Paul Blackburn has been dominant, but Triston McKenzie has as well. McKenzie should be able to keep this game close at the very minimum, which is really all we need because of the bullpens lately. The Guardians have had the league’s best bullpen in the past month and they have all their top arms available tonight. On the other hand, the Athletics bullpen blew another lead last night and in the past month, the Athletics are ranked second worst in the league in bullpen ERA. I don’t like fading Blackburn, but the Guardians have won eight of 10 and they have a massive advantage in the bullpens. Take the Guardians.
