This is just a value play with the intangibles the Padres had to deal with before the game. The Padres traveled last night from the West Coast and they are playing a day game after an extra inning game. Manny Machado has been day-to-day with tennis elbow, so I doubt he plays today in the early game. Nolan Arenado had yesterday off so he should be back in the lineup today. The Padres bullpen is not only worked but their two dominant closers in Nabil Crismatt and Taylor Rogers both allowed multiple runs in last appearance. I like the value in the Cards at home.
