Jake Arrieta had a 2.57 ERA in five starts before he allowed seven runs due to a cut on his finger. He is now 3-3 with a 4.31 ERA but he had pitched at least five innings allowing three or fewer runs in all his starts before his last. Adding a DH didn’t help the Cubs much against the Indians but that was one of the best pitching staffs in the league. They face Tarik Skubal who is 0-5 with a 5.67 ERA and the Cubs hit lefties well. The Tigers have won four in a row, all against the Royals, but that gives us good value. The Cubs bullpen isn’t great, but they’re still better than the Tigers who are the third worst in the league.
