Give the Pirates credit for winning 11 of their last 17 games after a dreadful 1-6 start. It's just that they aren't this good and keep playing above their heads much longer. The Cardinals have at least three hitters (Nolan Arenado, Paul Goldschmidt, Paul DeJong) due to get hot at the plate and pitching matchup isn't heavily favoring either side. There's nothing in the Cardinals' home/road split to suggest they can't deal with teams away from Busch, so take the better team with underdog odds.
